We provide record production to artists, taking their songs from a demo to the finished single, album, EP or any other finished format.
Specialising in post-production like recording, mixing, releasing, marketing, and every other bit in between, we work with you to create a product that will (finally) make your disapproving parents proud, even if they wanted you to become a doctor!
We work our hardest to make sure your song idea becomes the very best record it can be,
ready for the wide world of radio,
of streaming platforms,
of CD and vinyl,
and of the phone of that person who’s always hogging the aux cord.
(You know who we’re talking about)
But… maybe with a twist?
Sure, we do everything we just talked about, but it’s not the only thing that makes a record’s production journey special, so we like to do it our way.
We know that making music can be really boring and tedious at times, not to mention that producing a record and everything that goes into it can be very frustrating, can really drag, and in a worst-case scenario might make you want to abandon the project or abandon music altogether!
But we won’t let it!
Silly Boy Sounds is about making great albums, EPs, and singles, but it’s also about making sure to enjoy the moment, that the process is hospitable and welcoming for the artist (that’s you), and bringing even more creativity to the process, making your journey with us unique from any other record you’ll ever make.
Providing things like excitement, “let’s try this for the first time”, comfort, curiosity, “committing to the bit”, and joy.
It’s like cultivating bacteria for a terrarium, so the greenery comes to life when the plants and little bugs grow and multiply
(Okay, maybe that was a gross example)
After all, making a great record is the bare minimum.
The real hook is making a journey that’s as great as the destination.

so, we may have gone back to garden city…
So about 3 or 4 years ago, we went to Garden City, one of the most famous shopping centres in the suburbs south of Perth, trying to make our own reverb from scratch. And we failed. miserably.
Recently, we went back, learning from our mistakes, and tried again.
